Days 8-9: Paris

Day 8: Lyon to Paris

Today we got of the Viking Delling, and took the TGV train to Paris, to get on the Viking Rinda for the second part of our trip.

Our boat was actually docked in Le Pecq, about 20 miles north of Paris on the Seine.  Le Pecq is within walking distance of the town of St. Germain en Laye, which is somewhat more famous.

The main attraction in St. Germain en Laye is the Chateau de St. Germain en Laye.

Day 9: Paris

Since we have been to Paris several times, we skipped the ship's excursion and took a shuttle bus into Paris to wander around.

At Brenda's insistence, we made a visit to the Rodin Museum.

From the Rodin Museum, we took the Metro to near Notre Dame Cathedral.

We then walked along the banks of the Seine.  During summer, they set up beach chairs along the banks (no sand).
