Day 6: Lyon
We began the day with a general tour of Lyon.
The tour began by going up the hill to the Basilica.

We then went to another area where there were several buildings painted with murals.

We then walked along the Saone River.
Next we headed to Lyon's "old town" (
Vieux Lyon). Most of the buildings there date from the 15th and 16th centuries.
After the tour, we returned to the boat.
Day 7: Wine Country and back to Lyon
This morning, we took a ship's tour to Beaujolais wine country.

Our first stop was in the town of Fleurie, surrounded by vineyards.
We then went to the Chateau Ravatys winery for a tour and tasting.

After the winery tour, we returned to the boat for lunch. After lunch, we walked into main shopping area of Lyon.

Along the way, we stopped at a cafe for an obscene dessert.
We then walked around central Lyon, back to the boat.
