Today we docked at San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. From there, we took a tour to the colonial town of Granada, located on
Lake Nicaragua (also known as Lago Cocibolca).

San Juan del Sur is a small town and gets only about 5 cruise ship visits per year. They were very happy to see us.

On the way to Granada, we passed through a town whose name I don't remember (possibly Rivas). Below are some shots from the town.
Most of the housing outside the cities were cinder block with tin roofs. Nicaragua is a poor country, but it appears to be wealthier than El Salvador.

After arriving in Granada, we got in boats and toured around some of the islands in Lake Nicaragua near the town.
Several of the islands were occupied with expensive homes owned by rich Nicaraguans.
We stopped at one uninhabited island, where our guide fed one of the 3 monkeys that lived on the island.
We returned to Granada for a short walking tour.
We then had lunch at a local restaurant, complete with entertainment.
After lunch we took a ride around the town in a horse-driven cart.
We then headed back to San Juan del Sur.
