Danube Cruise from Budapest to Bucharest--Introduction

This was an 8-day river cruise on the eastern Danube with Avalon Waterways.   Here's the itinerary:

Days 1-2 Budapest: welcome to Hungary

Day 3 Budapest (Embarkation)

Day 4 Mohács. Excursion to Pécs

Day 5 Belgrade

Day 6 Iron Gates: visit Lepenski Vir archaeological site; cruise through the dramatic Iron Gates gorge

Day 7 Vidin–Belogradchik:  excursion to Belogradchik to see the rock formations

Day 8 Svistov. Excursion to Veliko Târnovo & Arbanassi:

Day 9 Oltenita (Disembarkation)

Day 10 Bucharest: your vacation ends this morning
